Snow
“Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow?”
(Job 38:22a)
Well, I wasn’t able to post last week because I spent most of the days shoveling snow. (If you ever want to know how out of shape you are just shovel some snow!) We’ve had storm after storm come through which continued to dump more and more snow. I don’t think there’s been a day gone by in the last week that I haven’t had to dig our SUV out of a snow bank. In fact, I got stuck again last night. Our place is about 1.5 miles off the highway. We left our place to go to the store last night and we were about 30 yards from being off the land when we slid off to the side of the road and got stuck. I looked in the back of the SUV and I had forgotten to pack the snow shovel. So I had to leave the family in the car and hike a mile and a half in the dark and in the snow to get the snow shovel. It was an exhausting night.
This morning though we had a nice surprise. The county had sent a snow plow tractor to clear all the roads. What a blessing!

If I were you I would have just pulled out my slingshot and killed a wild turkey, then made camp there on the side of the road, enjoying fresh drumsticks with the family til the weather cleared up. :0)

I hope you don’t have to pass anyone on that road. Do you heat with gas or wood or what? When I lived on the farm, I always had enough wood ahead for two winters. (I like to be warm.)
Anyway, I have two questions: will all those who refuse the mark of the beast be criminals? The scriptures declare that the anti-christ will “cause” everyone to take his mark.
Also, another thing I have been thinking about for some time now: if the mark regulates buying and selling, this will also relate to paying property taxes. I guess a black market will exist to get things done, as long as one has something of value that is portable and exchangeable.
Final question: is it only possible to prepare for what will come until the mark is mandated? (Or given God’s grace, will we still be able to survive at some subsistence level with a little help [grace]?)
I have other questions … but … these things are to be revealed …

Hi Mark,
No..we’re the only ones at the momemnt who drive on that road. We heat our place with gas and will be getting a wood stove soon.
Regarding your other questions:
Rev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak,
and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Sounds like those who don’t worship the image of the beast will be killed. I would say they are counted as criminals.
As far as your other questions…I’m not really sure. I would say I have a very limited grasp of how the details of revelations will play out. The Lord hasn’t given me light on those things at this time (though He is teaching me some things). I think the best thing to do, unless the Lord reveals to you the details and gives you instruction, is to just follow the Lord each day and know He will lead His own people during that time.

Those who live in the dark and troubled day immediately prior to the Lord’s return will “do exploits” (unless they are appointed to martyrdom): abundant measures of grace will cause the little to be much, blind the eyes of the wicked from the righteous, and strengthen the people of God to fulfill their calling.
That’s my belief, as I read the scriptures …
